Well Final Fantasy 13′s director said there will be new images by the end of the year, and here they are!
There is 7 new images in the scans (or photos), from V-Jump magazine. One of these is the first image of a new character! This character, whose name has yet to be revealed, seems to be the character that was described in the Jump Festa trailer.
There is also two new images of Lightning, one is a CG “profile” image and the other is possibly from a cut scene.

Hopefully there will be scans of these images soon so they can be viewed in better quality.
As well as these new images, there’s a little few seconds of new footage! Lightning can be seen flying/falling through the air, pulling out her gun and throwing what looks like a gernade. This new footage is from a commercial which has been added to the Official PlayStation website.

IGN.com have updated their “The Square Enix Theatre” article with their Final Fantasy Versus 13 trailer impression!
IGN.com Trailer Impression:
“New scenes included an opening sequence where the main character is shown seated in the back seat of a car, listening to the radio as the car speeds through a tunnel. The impressive battle sequence shown in the E3 trailer continued here with the main character taking out a few soldiers who came repelling down a building in the backdrop.
While the new trailer, like the one from E3, was pure CG, some scenes provide possible hints at the kind of gameplay we can expect. The main character called upon a ring of around a dozen sword and sphere weapons, which almost seemed to do the fighting for him. When facing off against the repelling soldiers, he seemed to teleport up to the top of the building, then charge down at the enemy in a scene that resembled something out of Final Fantasy Advent Children.
The new trailer finished with the phrase “The true figure is still hidden in the sleep.” Let’s hope the sleep isn’t too long, because we’re starting to get real excited about seeing Versus in its “true figure.”
