A few of our pages have gone under intense modification and several others have received small patch ups. Most important on the list of updates is the new descriptions for the three Fabula Nova Crystallis titles, written up by the irreplaceable Shannon, aka Medomai. She’s only just joined the staff and already helping the site in more ways then imaginable.
Second up, the previous scan pages have been completely wiped and combined into one convenient scan page. There’s some scans missing, but most that were taken out were far outdated. Feel free to use the scans for whatever you desire, but please ask permission first via email or comment.
Apart from those two major updates, several other pages, including our Staff page, have been given subtle make-overs. Nothing too special, but it’s all pushing towards our getting back up and smooth again.
Well, we’re just full of updates today, as we should be. FFXIIIUS has been dormant for a bit, but now that summer’s officially hit (for me, anyways), the updates will be flowing in non-stop. First on our massive plate of Final Fantasy, the announcement of Final Fantasy XIV! Sure, it’s not Final Fantasy XIII, but as of right now we will be covering FFXIV as well as FFXIII, FFVersus, and FFAgito. To get you up to speed on FFXIV, one of our newest staff members, Shannon, has written a short description:
Announced June 2nd, Square-Enix revealed the next in their flagship series, Final Fantasy XIV. Unlike most of the series, however, Final Fantasy XIV takes after Fantasy Fantasy XI in being an MMO RPG, playable only online. According to the trailer released in SE’s press conference, as well as a short press announcement afterwards, it seems Final Fantasy XIV will be available only for Playstation 3 and PC. SE announced their plan was to release XIV in a worldwide simultaneous release sometime in 2010, which would be an improvement from XI, where the game became available in JP, NA, and EU with months in between the release in each region. This is the first time that two chornological Final Fantasy games are planned to be released in the same year.
Sounds great, no? You’ll be seeing alot from Shannon, as well as our other new staffers, in the coming months.
Next up, a new trailer for Final Fantasy XIII straight from E3 2009. And it’s in English! Thanks to GameTrailers for the awesome video.
There was also a short glimpse at Final Fantasy XIV at the conference, provided again by GameTrailers.
For right now, that’s all. Be sure to look out for these videos up on our video page, as well as updates to almost all of our content. Continue the Fantasy!
I love this site, I love working for this site, but it’s a lot of work. The pages that were taken down require a lot of fixing, and with school finals and such I just don’t have the time to keep up with it. I’ve also been completely skipping on the news, and I owe everyone an apology for that.
And so, I’m asking you for help. Yes, you. I need some people to do pages for me or at least put in a little contribution. You don’t need to know coding, I just need someone with somewhat good grammar and a knowledge of Final Fantasy XIII. I will be forever it debt to you and will fully consider you as part of the Final Fantasy XIII US staff. Please, I’m at my rope’s end. I’m in need of assistance.
If you’re willing to help, email me at com.jake@gmail.com or you can instant message me at nosno4u@hotmail.com. Once school wraps up here I’ll hopefully have some more time to put into the site. Right now though, I need your help!
Hey, I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I’m JakeH, and you’ll be seeing a lot of me over the next few months. From news to content, I’ll be helping out FF13US update and report your favorite unreleased saga. I’ve worked for multiple sites before, so I know my way around.
My first order of business is to provide a ultimate hash news post of all the Final Fantasy 13 news that’s been skipped over while the site’s been inactive. It’s a hard piece of work, but I’ll get it done as soon as possible. I’ll also be updating all the old content pages with new information, ’cause God knows there’s been a lot.
Hopefully I’ll have that news post out soon, and from there we can continue providing you with fast, accurate information on Final Fantasy XIII!
The forum is currently closed as it is being spammed to death by the spam bots (damn these bots). I will see if there is anything that I can do about it (I am planning to switch to a new software altogether, but we will see what happens).
Also, the site is looking for a new staff to post Final Fantasy XIII related articles. As all of you can see, the site is quite behind in terms of FFXIII-related news, so if any of you is interested in posting for the site, please send me an email at rey2k5@gmail.com with an example of your work (along with your MSN/AIM contact).
I have added a number of new pages for the titles in the Fabula Nova Crystallis, with all the new information that been revealed in the past couple of days. Also there’s quite a few pages which have been updated too.
The job position of “Translator” is now open here at Final-Fantasy-13.com. The person hired for this job will be translating things for Final-Fantasy-13.com, such as Magazine articles, interviews, trailers etc. from the Japanese language into English.
If you wish to apply for this position please follow this link:
The Final Fantasy 13 Battle System page has been updated. A full list of the currently known Attacks and Magic Spells, plus information on them, has been added. As well as some “speculation” on how these attacks will be carried out during battle using ATB points.
After being worked on for quite some time, the new layout is finally done! Full credit goes to Triny for designing the whole layout for us. Expect more content to be added with the implementation of the new system! Hope you guys like the new design. :)
The Final Fantasy 13 .com Forum has now been opened! In the forum you can join up and chat with other forum members about Final Fantasy 13 and the rest of the Fabula Nova Crystallis.
